Shocking CCTV footage shows a violent robber posing as a flower delivery man

POLICE have released footage of a bandit who disguised himself as a florist and threatened to kill a jewellery store attendant.

Police say the man, in his 50s, planned the robbery with a young accomplice and used “unnecessary violence” to intimidate two women working at the Thornbury jewellery shop in High St – snatching diamond rings valued at more than $ 100,000.

Penny, who was manhandled and threatened, said she feared for her life as the bandit pointed a sawn-off firearm at her.

“It was a terrifying experience,” she said. “He did threaten my life, which made it even harder.

“I just did what he asked.

“He did all the screaming and talking, very aggressive, very loud.”
