Ypsilanti florist readying for another busy Mother’s Day (WITH LOCAL GUIDE)

News from Heritage Newspapers:

For the past 100 years, since it was set by President Woodrow Wilson in 1914, men, women and children have been using the second Sunday in May to honor and give thanks to their dear old Mom. Brunch will be eaten, jewelry and handmade gifts will be given and, above all, flowers will be purchased.

Daluga said that the most popular flower arrangements for the holiday are spring-themed and usually contain tulips, irises and roses.

Most of Enchanted Florist’s arrangements are custom-made, different from the Hallmark-esque arrangements typical at gift shops and grocery stores.

“When you go to a place like that, they’ll have the florist design probably 20 of the same thing,” Daluga said. “We individually do all of our orders.”
