Her paper flowers are a cut above

Jenny Jafek-Jones creates paper flowers that have been in bridal magazines and Golden Globes and Oscar gift bags.

With winter weather holding back the signs of spring, there’s one place in the city where flowers are blooming prolifically. It’s all happening inside Jenny Jafek-Jones’ backyard studio.

Jafek-Jones makes flowers by hand, from delicate papers.

These are not crafty-looking blooms. Jafek-Jones’ flowers look very real and are downright beautiful works of art.

She uses cardboard patterns that she’s custom-designed to cut out every element of the flower or plant she is mimicking in paper. Customers call her to place orders as they would with a floral designer. She stays busy; she’s taking bridal orders a year in advance right now.
